The aim and purpose of the Islamic Society of Frederick (ISF), Maryland, is to serve the Glory of Allah (the Almighty Loving God) by serving the best interest of His people in Frederick and the surrounding areas. It is also to help Muslims practice Islam as a complete, peaceful, and tolerant way of life. All Muslims and non-Muslims regardless of race, color, gender and national origin are welcome to participate in ISF religious, cultural, and social activities. ISF pledges to:

• Help the Muslim community carry out Islamic prayers, and cultural, religious, and educational activities in accordance with the guidelines of Qur'an and Sunnah and the law of the land. Those activities must help produce a community that is spiritually uplifted, morally excellent, and physically sound.
• Strengthen the fraternal bonds and brotherly relations among Muslims.
• Promote friendly relations and understanding between Muslims and non-Muslims according to the teachings of the Qur'an and Sunnah. These books teach that this relationship must be built on cooperation, coordination, love, and respect by promoting diversity, pluralism, religious tolerance, and mutual respect for all.
• Endeavor to make Islamic teachings known to everyone in the larger Frederick Community. This will help promote a better understanding of the true message of Islam and an appreciation of the culture of Muslims.
